We love authors, and hate them at the same time. They can enchant us, make us laugh, help us escape, and discover new worlds we never knew existed. However, they don’t always do what we expect, or what we hope, and it can drive readers a little nuts.
- Why do authors mismatch characters who are MEANT to be together?
- Do they plan an entire series from the start, or do they make it up as they go along through each book?
- Do they ever get squeamish writing about blood and guts, or blush when they write love scenes?
Lucky you, here’s your chance to ask them/us!
Put out those questions you’ve always wondered about how a writer writes, where they get their ideas, what does it feel like to get a bad review, how do they read the same story over and over while editing, what’s it like to have to promote one’s books without coming off creepy or obnoxious, or anything else you can think of!
Add your questions to the comments section, or email them to inquiries [at] jessicalave [dot] com, and I will divvy up the answers portion among myself, MaryBeth over at Keystrokes and Word Counts, and anyone else we can beg convince to join us!
If you have any story-specific questions about any of our books, feel free to ask those as well.
Looking forward to seeing what kind of crazy/interesting/random questions you can come up with!
