It’s been kind of a crazy week! Doing a blog tour for my book during the week has been a little tough while I was working. I couldn’t check in as often as I wanted to, so I’m afraid I may have missed some opportunities to connect on that front.
Hiccups
Also, I haven’t quite figured out the “reply” thing on the comments, which has probably been to my detriment as far as comments and interaction goes. I know the reply button is there, but I always forget about it and just create a new comment – meaning, no notification goes out and the commenter doesn’t know I responded unless they visit the page again.
The main part I’m still struggling with, predictably, is the marketing side of it. I can retweet and share the posts, answer the comments and questions, but I haven’t figured out the right way to “engage” the readers. It’s very hard to know what to say to inspire interaction.
My experience
It’s been a blast checking out my posts and interviews on other people’s sites, and while I haven’t had a ton of comments and responses, I’ve really enjoyed reading the responses to the post and the book.
I’m hoping next week will get some more readers and comments because there’s more variety on the posts. An audio interview, a couple guest posts on some different topics, and for the most part, they’re more about me than my writing. A little different perspective and some new information, so hopefully they’ll be interesting and entertaining.
If you haven’t been following along this week, here’s your chance to catch up!
You can find all the links for the past week’s posts here, and if you didn’t catch my guest post on character development on For What It’s Worth Reviews, make sure to check that out too!
Looking forward to another week! Thanks for checking in!
